I love the idea of turning old into new... giving a fresh  meaning and life to something that may otherwise be discarded and forgotten about.  Which is why I find inspiration in the works of Paul Villinski - A New York based artist who has made his name by turning garbage into works of art.  These delicate and cheerful butterflies are a result of a vision that Paul Villinski had of turning littered beer cans and vinyl records into something uplifting and beautifully decorative. Much like the life of a butterfly, the process of Villinski's work reveals an enchanting metamorphosis. Each butterfly alights the walls in such a way that they all appear to be in perfect harmony with one another as they put on a show for their audience, delicately dancing in patterns and going off in tangents .  Who ever thought that old kicked about cans and dusty forgotten records could be transformed into such a treasure to feast your eyes upon. See more of his work here
